Middle School Theatre and Upper School Public Speaking Teacher Susan Sanford is the director of “The Silver Belles,” which will be performed at the Virginia Repertory’s November Theatre from November 24 to December 31. The play, described as a “holiday hoedown with humor” features well-known Christmas songs, plus country and western tunes.
Ms. Sanford was interviewed for a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the play and said, “One of my favorite things about the show is that it has so much heart to it.” She added, “I think it’s really, really a sweet show.”
At Steward, Ms. Sanford teaches a variety of courses, including Theatre 8, a year-long study of all forms of theatre, including prop-making, set design, filmed projects, puppetry, and scene work. Most recently, she directed the school’s production of “The Addams Family.”
