Summer Programs

You don’t have to be a Spartan to learn and play like one. We are proud to offer two extensive summer programs, both of which are open to the greater Richmond community.

For local Latino students entering grades 8-12, Steward hosts LEAP (Latino Education Advancement Program), a free program that enhances the pre-college experience. LEAP students experience four weeks of educational enrichment and fun experiences in and out of the classroom. This grant-funded program has grown since its inception in 2007, and we now host more than 50 students each year.

For those looking for camp-style fun, Steward offers 100+ summer camps — full-day, half-day, and single-session — for children in grades JK-12 at a convenient location in the West End of Richmond. We’ve got day camps to suit any fancy: academics, athletics, arts, innovation, and traditional-style camps. Most summer camps are taught by Steward faculty members and coaches, and many others are led by well-respected local companies that specialize in those fields. Our innovation offerings have exploded — from architecture and drones to gardening and cooking, we've got it. Plus, LEGO and STEM camps galore!

Information for summer 2025 is now available. Registration opening dates are December 1 for returning campers/Steward families and January 1 for new campers who do not attend Steward. Preview an at-a-glance calendar and detailed descriptions to learn more about our camps. Please contact Chuck Robinson, director of auxiliary programs, with any questions.
