Standout Spartans: Middle School Chorus

Steward’s seventh- and eighth-grade chorus competed in the Kings Dominion Music in the Park competition on May 10 … and took first place! These talented Spartans sang “A la Nanita Nana” and “Galop” and competed with other middle school choirs from Northern Virginia and Maryland. The Middle School chorus is led by Middle/Upper School Choral Teacher Heidi Taylor. “We had 46 singers from seventh and eighth grade,” said Ms. Taylor proudly. “After the competition, we spent the rest of the day in the park. We are grateful for the support of Middle School Director Susan Atkinson as well as our Middle School chaperones: Craig Redmond-Cilley, Danny Spiziri, Claudia Ramirez, and Kadie Parsley; and our accompanist, Lower School Music Teacher Sandy Dacus.”
