We are so proud of Ryan Tyndall ’25, who earned the Congressional Bronze Medal Award for participating in an astounding 280 hours of community service and personal development activities! Congress established the Congressional Award in 1979 to recognize initiative, service, and achievement in young people.
At a recent student assembly, Upper School Dean of Students Gardner Mundy congratulated Ryan and told the audience, “Ryan’s service included activities with the Henrico County Fire Explorers and as a counselor with the Summer Experience program. He received his medal from Rep. Rob Wittman in March. We also recognize Chuck Robinson, director of auxiliary programs, for his role in mentoring Ryan.”
Mr. Robinson, who directs the Summer Experience program, said Ryan served as a Spartan Counselor Apprentice before becoming a member of the Summer Experience staff. “Ryan displays great leadership skills and a commitment to engaging with each and every person he interacts with,” said Mr. Robinson.
