Pearce, who started his internship in early June, has put in more than 400 hours working for the campaign (more than any other intern this season!), writing letters, calling constituents, and interacting with the public on the Senator’s behalf.
"I enjoy everything I do on the campaign, especially getting to know everyone.," said Pearce. "I also like engaging with voters in the district. Another area I find interesting is the voter data, as it is fascinating to compare current trends with previous voting patterns."
Pearce, who holds the distinction of being the youngest intern for the campaign, volunteers alongside high school seniors and college students. He will continue to serve the Senator’s office until the November 7 election. In spring 2023, Pearce participated in an internship during the
2023 Virginia Legislative Session.
"I am extremely glad I have had the opportunity to work in the legislature and on campaigns, as I now know both sides of the political process," he said.
Asked if he has set his sights on a political career, Pearce said, "I am keeping my options open; however, I have developed many connections in the political world if I ever want to choose a career in politics."
