Standout Spartan: Sanai Green '26

Basketball standout Sanai Green ’26 has been named to the 2023-24 Naismith Trophy Underclassmen Watch List. This is a list of the top 25 high school freshmen-to-junior players to watch nationally. 

Kara Bacile, Steward’s assistant director of athletics and varsity girls basketball coach, noted, “For Sanai to be named to the underclassmen watchlist speaks to the caliber of player she is.”

The Naismith Award has long been one of the most coveted awards a college basketball player can get; it began recognizing high school basketball standouts in 1987. Coach Bacile added, “I am very proud of Sanai! It is such an honor to be considered one of the top 25 players nationwide when compared to other underclassmen, and it is a testament to her incredible work ethic. I’m looking forward to watching her accomplish more goals on the court this season.”
