Standout Spartans: Juliet Forlano '28 and Zoe Reynolds '30
The Steward School
Spartans take the stage
Congratulations to Juliet Forlano ’28 and Zoe Reynolds ’30, who landed roles in SPARC’S production of “Hadestown: Teen Edition,” which took place November 16-17. SPARC is a Richmond-area community-based youth performing arts education organization. Described as a folk opera, “Hadestown” follows two intertwining love stories: Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and Lady Persephone.
Zoe, who has participated in SPARC classes and productions for seven years, played the role of a worker in “Hadestown.”
“The thing I enjoyed most about this production was making connections and listening to how others perceived the show,” she said. Zoe also acted in Steward’s production of “The Addams Family” in 2023. “What I love most about being a Spartan is the support and education that Steward has given me, and all of my friends who have made me the person I am today,” she said.
“One thing I love about theatre is the supportive environment that comes with it,” said Juliet, who played an ensemble role and was an understudy for a Fate in “Hadestown.” She added, “Theatre and music have always been a part of my life; my grandmother was a music teacher, and my sister (Luna ’25) also does theatre.” Juliet, who shared her talent onstage in Steward’s "The Addams Family," also plays sports in all three seasons. The Steward community, she said, “builds real relationships between teachers and students. Whether it is waving hello to a team captain or hanging out in the freshmen hallway before the bell, I always have something to look forward to when coming to school!”
