Richmond Magazine Features Steward Upper Schoolers
Virginia Holocaust Museum hosts Butterfly Project
The April 6, 2025 edition of Richmond Magazine includes an article about the Butterfly Project, an initiative at the Virginia Holocaust Museum. Tenth graders taught by Upper School English Teacher Ryan Burgess and Upper School Humanities Teacher Trevor Smith participated in the project, which involves painting ceramic butterflies as a memorial to the 1.5 million children killed during the Holocaust.
